Seeking New Committee Members

UBCFA Equity Committee

In June 2022 the Faculty Association established a new Equity Committee, which expanded the mandate of the Status of Women Committee to include advocacy, research and support to all equity denied groups at UBC. The Standing Committee will consult and work with the FA’s Anti-Racism and Indigenous Initiatives Committee to advance the Associations efforts to eliminate overt and systemic barriers at the University. Members can choose to participate in one or more of the following working groups which will inform the Committee’s activities with regards to specific forms of discrimination:

• The Disability Working Group
• Status of Women Working Group
• 2SLGBTQIA+ Working Group
• BIPOC Working Group

The Chair also invites members to suggest additional working group(s) not listed above, that may be represented under the umbrella of the Committee.
