As part of our campaign to raise awareness and celebrate the accomplishments of contract faculty, we’re inviting you to join UBCFA President Bronwen Sprout, Vice President Alan Richardson, Contract Faculty Committee Chair, Sarika Bose, Okanagan Faculty Committee Vice-Chair, Jennifer Gustar and UBCO Interim Provost, Patricia Lasserre for a special lunch. This event is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate your contributions to the academy and to discuss and raise awareness of the issues faced by contract academics across the country.

What is Fair Employment Week?
Every year, campuses across Canada dedicate a week in October to raising awareness of the issues and working conditions faced by Contract Faculty. This event is organized nationally by the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT) and locally by your union, the UBC Faculty Association.
Fair Employment Week is a cross-Canada event and we hope Contract Faculty at our Okanagan Campus will join in.
