For faculty who teach first year students and/or are interested in the first year experience
This workshop-based session will begin with a ‘snapshot’ of who the first year class of 2016-17 is at UBC, followed by an overview of the first year at university that specifically highlights key moments in the year to build academic tenacity. Using break-out groups, we will share successes, identify challenges and opportunities in supporting the first year experience at UBC.
