REMINDER: AGM Continuation RSVP – September 29th 1:00PM

UBCFA Annual General Meeting (continuation)
Thursday, September 29th, 2022 at 1:00 pm

Dear Colleagues,

As we were not able to conclude discussion of the agenda at our Annual General Meeting of June 16th, the Faculty Association will be holding a continuation of our AGM on Thursday, September 29th, from 1 to 3pm.

We will resume discussion at Agenda Item #6. Please find the full agenda with background and information linked here: Annual General Meeting Agenda. Our meeting will be hybrid to accommodate both in person and virtual attendance (via Zoom). If you will be attending in person, the location of the meeting rooms are as follows (please note, there has been a change to the UBCV room):

  • UBCV Campus: BC Hydro Theatre, CIRS 2260 West Mall
  • UBCO Campus: UNC 334

This meeting is restricted to bargaining unit members. To ensure the integrity of the meeting and the privacy of participants, please RSVP to the Faculty Association so that we know to expect you. You will receive a link to the meeting on September 29th. We ask that you do not share this link with others.

We have received some inquiries on the minutes from the June 16th meeting. As the meeting of September 29th is a continuation of the AGM, minutes of both sessions (June 16 & September 29) will be presented to the meeting at the October 27th Fall General Meeting.

We have considered the concerns raised at the last meeting regarding the use of the Chat function in Zoom. The chat will be enabled for communication between the hosts and participants for specific purposes such as relevant documents or potential amendments that may arise from the floor. If you have any concerns with your ability to participate in the discussions, please let us know and we will work with you to arrange a suitable accommodation. You may also email your question or comment to the Faculty Association for review after the meeting. Please note that emails will not form part of the official meeting minutes.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting and discussing this important matter further.

Dory Nason,

President
