Dear Colleagues,
We have heard from many of you this week about timetable issues that have come about as a result of the new scheduling system. We have been copied on letters to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost and met with a group of Heads to gather detailed information about the problems and impacts and to discuss potential resolutions. You are already all too familiar with the many issues so we will not list them here, but will say they are myriad and significant, and that we can well imagine the stress this is causing at what is already a difficult time for many. We have initiated discussions with the University on the matter and hope to be able to report on both short and long-term resolutions very soon.
