Dear UBC Okanagan members,
Further to my last message about the Okanagan Faculty Committee Chair position, I’m pleased to let you know that the Faculty Association Executive has voted to appoint Ali McManus as interim chair of the Okanagan Faculty Committee until our next election in spring 2020. Ali was acclaimed as OFC First Vice-Chair in the most recent election. Shirley Chau, currently a member-at-large on the FA Executive and Second Vice-Chair of the OFC, has agreed to act as “co-chair” with Ali. Thank you to Ali and Shirley for your willingness to serve in these interim roles.
We will issue a call for committee members soon and work with Ali and Shirley to set the OFC meeting schedule and organize other events for the year. Look for more information to come soon!
