Dear Colleagues,
Most of us breathed a sigh of relief when the start of January classes was postponed for a week. The situation was not, however, without anxiety for our TAs, whose contracts end on 30 April, given the exam schedule now runs through 27 April. In order to help us understand the rights of our TAs as unionized workers and to facilitate the end of term planning, our friends in the TA union (CUPE 2278) leadership have created this short booklet. We urge those of you who are working with TAs this term to familiarize yourselves with this material and work in solidarity with your TAs in this complicated time.
