Fall General Meeting

UBCFA Fall General Meeting
Wednesday, October 25th
RSVP Required

Join us for an engaging discussion on the future of the UBC Campuses with members of the Campus 2050 team.

Date and Time: Wednesday, October 25th starting at 1:00pm. Via Zoom (Link will be sent out Oct. 24th).

This year’s UBCFA Fall General Meeting will highlight some of the work being done on both campuses to plan for and develop the physical infrastructure and community amenities at UBC. Join us for a discussion with members of the Campus Vision 2050 team. A similar project will be unveiled at the Okanagan Campus over the next year. We hope you take this opportunity to share your thoughts on what the campuses will look like in years to come.

The first order of business at this year’s FGM will be an update on the work of the DATA Committee and the appointment of Achieve CPAs, LLP as auditors for the 2023 fiscal year. The full agenda is available here: Fall General Meeting Agenda.

The meeting will be held via Zoom and is restricted to bargaining unit members. To ensure the integrity of the meeting and the privacy of participants, please RSVP to the Faculty Association so that we know to expect you. You will receive a reminder and a link to the meeting on October 24th. We ask that you do not share this link with others.

The chat will be enabled for communication between the hosts and participants. If you have any concerns with your ability to participate in the discussions, please let us know and we will work with you to arrange a suitable accommodation. You may also email your question or comment to the Faculty Association for review after the meeting. Please note that emails will not form part of the official meeting minutes.

The BC Societies Act maintains that unless quorum is met, the Faculty Association must hold a subsequent meeting the following week to conduct the business of the Association. Quorum under our Constitution and Bylaws is currently 20 members.

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Dory Nason,

President
