Call for Proposals and Submissions
The UBC Faculty Association Contract Faculty Committee, in partnership with UBC Library, presents the 2018 Contract Faculty Colloquium and Publication Display coming up March 14, 2018. This day-long event provides Contract Faculty an opportunity to share with and learn from their Contract Faculty colleagues in the genial, relaxed atmosphere of the Chilcotin Room at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre.
Colloquium Presentation Proposals
We invite proposals for brief (10 minute) presentations on your field-specific research, pedagogical research or pedagogical practice. This is an ideal occasion to rehearse for an upcoming conference, recap something you recently presented, share an innovative idea and perhaps find a collaborator or research partner. If you’re interested in presenting, please send a very brief proposal (3 points, 100 words max.) to Dr. Sarika Bose, Chair, UBCFA Contract Faculty Committee. Team proposals are welcome. We’re really looking forward to receiving your proposal!

Publication Display Submission
In addition to our Proposal Call, we are accepting submissions for our Contract Faculty Publication Display to be held concurrently with our Colloquium. Your work must have been published within the last 5 calendar years. You may submit a monograph, an article in a journal or an academic or non-academic piece (e.g. a performance; a book of illustration; a book of poetry; a novel). We also accept excerpts of performances, TED talks, etc.
Publication Submission Options:
- Send or bring in (by appointment) a published book or video in person to BUTO 422
- Email a copy of your article or bring in (by appointment) a hard copy in person to BUTO 422
- Email a link to your talk/performance.
