Dear Colleagues:

We hope you'll attend our consultation for all faculty on UBC's Draft Sexual Assault Policy this Friday. The Faculty Association will be responding to the Board of Governors on this Policy in September and we would like our response to closely reflect and be shaped by the views of our membership.

The Status of Women Committee will be holding a consultation for all faculty on:

Date: Friday, July 22
Time: 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Location: Room 123, Allard Building (Law Faculty), 1822 East Mall

All faculty are welcome to attend. Light snacks will be served.

As a reminder, there are other alternative/additional ways to have input into this consultation process.

  1. You can send comments directly to the UBC Board by way of the Office of the University Counsel at [email protected] or through the confidential feedback survey: https://survey.ubc.ca/s/sexual-assault-policy/ by September 30, 2016.
  2. Should you wish to have other input into the Faculty Association’s response to the Draft Policy, please email your input to the Faculty Association’s Executive Director, Deena Rubuliak, at [email protected] by September 10, 2016.

You can access the Policy at: http://universitycounsel.ubc.ca/files/2016/06/Proposed-Policy-131.pdf.
